I need nighttime help. DS is a side sleeper. Right now I use a BG 4.0 with a microfiber insert and a hemp doubler. He leaks every single night! Also he poops every morning before I get him up from his crib and there is poop everywhere. I'm ready to give up!!
I don't think it's an absorbency issue - he isn't soaking the inserts. I think it's the combo of the bulkier diaper and side sleeping. Because he sleeps on his side his legs make the edges curl in so it can escape. It is leaking out of the leg holes. I can't get it any tighter. What do you use for a side sleeper?
I know a lot of you use wool but I just think that is going to be too much work. Is it worth it? Anything work besides wool??
Re: Nighttime Help!
Wool is totally worth it. I am a recent convert with my heavy wetter and wish I would have done it sooner.
When you consider what a PITA leaking overnight diapers are, wool is easy. Hand wash the new cover, lanolize and use. No need to wash or relanolize until it gets funky or is not as waterproof - maybe every 3 weeks or so depending on how many covers you have and if you use them for naps too.
