Pajama sizing funny

Earlier this year (like February) my mom bought matching PJs from the children's place for all the kids for this Christmas.  We are planning on having them get their pictures taken in them.

Well she handed me the pair she bought for Simon. They're sized 3-6, a size that will realistically fit him well next month. I held them up to his 6m PJs and thought "OH heck no" those suckers are huge.

I held them up next to a pair of 18m pjs... closer!

So for giggles I grabbed DS1 who wears a 24m/2t and put them on him.

UH they fit... like they're baggy in the legs.

So DS1 is going to be wearing the 3-6m pair in our pictures. Luckily TCP has the same print again so we're going back in hopes the sizing is more... accurate.

Did your Mom buy one for each of the kids?  Can you exchange them or do they work for DS1?

I bought a pair that was stamped wrong with the size. It definitely can happen!

Last year I bought some PJ's for DS at an OKB that was closing.  I noticed when I put them Christmas Eve that the pants seemed really big.  A few months later I was folding laundry and noticed that the top was 12m and the bottoms were 3T!  No wonder they looked big!
