Cousin died of a heart attack.

I didn't know him well, probably only met 3 times because he was from another relationship. He was 26!! I cannot imagine the shock my aunt must feel right now. No one should ever have to attend their child's funeral. With all this going on, it makes me cling tight to my daughter, I am so grateful and blessed to have her.

Amelia has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has had 3 open heart surgeries, 1 g-tube surgery, and one tracheostomy. She is the strongest, most precious little fighter.

Oh no! My condolences to you and your family. So sorry for you loss.
I can't believe he was only 26 years old! That's definitely not normal ... maybe he had an underlying heart condition that he didn't know about. Your poor aunt (and uncle?)! You're right ... no parent should ever have to say goodbye to their child. So sad!

DH's cousin died of a heart attack a month after we started dating- he was 27.
So sad. Now that I am a mom I relate everything to me/DS/DH and I tear up very easily just thinking about it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have experienced a similar loss .
At the age of 26 my good friend from high school had a heart attack four days after his wedding. He was declared brain dead and was taken off life support a few days later. Fast forward seven years and his baby brother - now just past 30 years old - also sufferred a heart attack and died the weekend before E was born. Both boys had undiagnosed heart conditions.
It is a tragedy beyond comprehension for both their parents and their remaining sister.
