Lie or be honest?

MIL told me this morning a couple of toys she was thinking of buying DD for Christmas, then said please be honest and let me know if she will really use/like these items. Two of the items she told me are really just way too old for her. She will use them in a couple of years but for now she just won't get them. Do I tell her this or just tell her whatever is good? WWYD?

Be honest.  She asked you to be honest so it sounds like she is open to changing her plans if your DD won't like it........

I would tell her. I'm sure she would want to get something that your dd would actually use now.

Just say, "she doesn't play with them right now, but I"m sure she will love them in a few months".

If she won't use them, be honest.  There is no point in your MIL spending money on something that you know will get no use.
