OOPS!  I accidently stole a hat from Walmart tonight.  I had tried it on Ian, put it in the cart next to him, then a minute later took his jacket off him and it covered it up.  Plus it's brown, so is the cart cover...didn't see it, and completely forgot it was there.  Guess I'll take the tags off and take them in with me next time I go and pay for it then.

I know I'm not the only one...what have you accidently stolen?

I might have accidentally stolen a necklace from Claire's... Lol! I put it in the top of the stroller, put my phone on top of it, and forgot about it! I didn't realize it until I got back to my car! It was on clearance so it was only like 4 bucks, whooooops!!!

I accidentally stole a bottle of apple juice from the dollar store.  I stuck it in the bottle holder of the stroller and forgot all about it until I was putting DS back into the car.  Oops.

We stole a picture frame. It was under the carseat that was attached to the cart....completely forgot about it.

We walked out of Target the other day with a dog toy attached to the carseat that DH had been letting her play with in the store. DH walked in back in though when I noticed it. 

A week ago I was checking out at a craft store and an item didn't have a price tag on it. I ACCIDENTALLY told the clerk the price was lower than what it was and remembered when I got home. I still haven't gone back to give them the difference but I intend to.

DD stole a rubber duck from her swim class. I didn't notice because she was all wrapped up in her towel with the duck inside. I found it when I was changing her.

Mine might be the worst. I stole TWO boxes of formula from Target before. I put them underneath the stroller, but then continued shopping. I picked up just a few little things after that, so they went on top of the stroller. I ran into a friend while shopping and we talked for awhile before I checked out. When I did, I just grabbed the stuff on the top and totally forgot about the formula underneath. I noticed after I loaded up the car and went to put the stroller away. I did go in and pay for it right away, though. That was like $70 worth of formula! I would've felt awful.

It's so easy to forget about things when you are shopping with the stroller. DH and I walked out with something else before, I can't remember what it was now, but DH ran in and paid for it then, too.

I accidentally stole lip gloss from the grocery store a few weeks ago - it somehow got wedged under the baby seat part of the cart. Oops. 

My friend accidentally stole baby socks from H&M a few weeks ago too, but went back to pay as we were just outside the store.

I stole a dog collar from PetSmart.  I put it around my arm (while wearing a black sweatshirt - it was a black collar) so that I cold pick up the bag of food and not drop the collar...I didn't realize it until I got home and DH asked about my new jewelry!

I went back the next weekend (it is like 30 minutes out of my way) and paid for it.  The woman though I was nuts for coming back in!

that's awesome that you did go back. I'm kind of surprised the amount of people who don't seem to. Regardless of intent or lack thereof, it IS still stealing. I can't fathom not going back.
My mom and I both got leather coats from Loft and they only charged us for one. I went back to pay for the second and they seemed surprised too.
