Question about Fuzzibunz

How often should be changing his diaper? I find that he is leaking at night. I am washing the diapers with Ecover 1/2 oz. and using an aluminum foil ball in the dryer. I noticed some redness in his anal area. Am I doing anything wrong? Does Fuzzibunz have a help line? I switched him over to disposables so I could put rash ointment on his bum. Any advice is great.

Are you double stuffing?  We had leaking issues at night too but I have a heavy wetter at home.  Sometimes a sposie can't even hold it all in for her.

What is an aluminum foil ball in the dryer?  Never heard of that?  We line dry.

I think foil in a dryer could be a fire hazard.

We only use FuzziBunz during the day (not absorbent enough for overnight). I double stuff them and change every 2 hours. Sometimes the inserts are completely saturated, other times they're not. But I'd rather change too often than not often enough, which can lead to leaks and diaper rash. I can't offer advice re: the redness, except that if you'd like, you can continue to use your cloth diapers with a flushable liner if you want to apply diaper rash cream.

This is exactly what I think, but a TON of people around here do it. I stick with my wool dryer balls.

I did FB's at night.  I used the next size up and double stuffed with hemp inserts, then added an extra cover over that.  I'd found that it wasn't the volume of liquid that caused most of the leaks, but that DS laid in the same place leading to compression leaks.  His butt was HUGE at night, but he slept much better that way.
