baby acne vs. baby eczema?

what's your experience? I have a call into the doctor, but am curious what y'all may know. LO had little bumps all over his face which the doctor originally said was heat rash...now it's turned more scaly than bumpy and is super dry. TIA!

Heat rash will go away if baby's not hot baby acne will not go away unless on it's own and ezczema is itchy

Dont have much to offer except we had quite a case of something and the pedi had us do a 1 percent hydrocortisone cream.

My son has eczema. It's scaly, dry skin that is a slightly different texture and a slightly darker color. His baby acne was just little bumps. When he broke out in a rash fromm soap allergy was red bumpy patches. The doc recommended aquaphor/vaseline for his eczema but that didn't so squat so now I use babyganicss and it's miracle worker

My understanding is that eczema will be on more than just the face. Also, my baby had horrible baby acne that turned scaly and covered her entire face. Turned out that my milk consumption was creating the rash and her reflux. I cut milk and both went away completely.
