So I've been researching baby carriers, and I've put a couple on my registry. I keep seeing people refer to certain carriers as "crotch danglers" and this seems to be a bad thing...it SOUNDS like a bad thing, but I'm just not sure what I should be looking for in these carriers.
Any advice?
Re: Baby Carrier...Crotch Dangler....WHAT?? STMS help!
Thanks, I've been wondering this, too!
Yes, some carriers are bad for babies growing hips and legs here's an article:

Clomid- No response
Metformin 1500 mg Femara 5mg + Trigger + TI Round 2 = BFP!
Beta 13DPO: 115, Beta 16dpo: 561 BFP Chart
This is a good summary. I (as well as a ton of other STM+s on here) really recommend the Ergo.
DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13
We had a crotch dangler (Infantino carrier) that was gifted to us. I hadn't even registered for a carrier because my mom had no luck with any of us in them (all 3 of us hated being in a carrier with a passion). This proved to be true for DD, as well. But, I am now starting to think it was more because of how her legs would hang (all 4 times we used it).
I purchased an Ergo on babysteals a few weeks ago. I can't wait to use it!
We registered for the Beco Gemini.. largely based on recommendations from Lucie's List (https://www.lucieslist.com/).. As a FTM, we've been using this as a guide to only register for the stuff we'll actually need/use and not a whole lot of useless "nice to have" extras that will just get neglected..
Not sure how this one rates on the crotch dangler scale though!
Make a pregnancy ticker
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
In the article that was attached previously, it mentioned that if it's an occasional thing it's not a big deal.
We have an Ergo that I still use to back carry DS, but I have heard from some that the infant insert can be a real PITA. I don't know from experience since we didn't buy ours until DS was older.
We used a BabyHawk when he was an infant and I freaking LOVE that thing. I can't wait to use it with this baby!!
