Snowsuit?

I bought this snowsuit on sale at Macy's over the weekend. Is it practical to have something like this since Olivia can't walk yet and prob should not wear this in the car seat? On phone so I cannot make it clicky. I am so lost about how to dress her for the winter outdoors.

Re: Snowsuit?

  • Do you plan to spend time outside in the cold? If so, I'd keep it. She might be walking as early as December, too, so you may have play time in the snow, right? We have a 3yo as well, so we got snow pants for DS to play outside and sled with his sister.

  • I am actually shopping around for something like this for Ben.  While he won't wear it in the car seat, I fully plan on taking him outside to play in the snow!  It'll be nice to have if we want to take a walk in the winter, too.

Have I mentioned yet how excited I am for him to really see snow for the first time!?!?  I LOVE SNOW!!!

  • We bought Jackson a snowsuit at a consignment sale. We fully intend on using it. More DH than me tho...it was his idea. We won't have him wear it in the car. But going outside to play in the snow or sledding for a little bit, we definitely want him in something warm. We just gotta find some boots now.

  • I definitely wouldn't put a snowsuit on her in the car, but I still think you'd get use out of it. You will want to play in the snow, and even if she's not walking, she could crawl around in it. My MIL bought us one for DD that is similar style, and the only thing I thought about was the feet. I am quite confident that my DD will be walking before/around the first snow. The snowsuit we got had feeties attached (looks like yours do too), so I had to exchange it and get one without feet. I figure if she is walking, we will need to put boots on her and i don't think her feet would fit in boots with the "feeties" on. But it kind of looks like yours may be removable? I can't tell, but that is the only thing I might think about. Otherwise, I'd keep it!

  • I just bought DS a snowsuit yesterday for the purpose of going outside to play in the snow. I found it on Amazon for only $29 with free shipping. It was originally $80. Here's the link...sorry I can't make it clicky.

  • I bought E a separate coat and snow pants. The coat I bought in my second trimester at GAP outlet for this winter because it was a ridiculous sale. It is one of their warmest coats for like $20 instead of $70. Woot! And I bout a $40 pair of REI snow pants for $11. I thought the separates might get more use. But either way - I think super warm stuff like that is a must.
