Would it be worth it to get an exersaucer (someone has an Einstein one selling for $25) or are the maximum heights the same?
It is the only thing that can contain him for a bit while I pump or use the bathroom. Now that he moves around, I can't leave him alone on the floor to use the bathroom. I could put him in the pnp, but that is where he sleeps, so he cries unless he is tired.
Re: 2in. from out-growing the jumperoo- what next?
My Colton...Growing up so fast!
And Coralee, his baby sister...On the way!
Yes and we have it on level 3 now and he can put down the balls of his feet already, so it won't be too long until he can flat foot it.
When I measured him a couple weeks ago he was 29.5in and I just looked it up and the max height says 32in.
It will be awhile before he grows 2". I think once he outgrows it you will be past the exercasuser stage also.
Maybe buy another pack n play or play pen and put new toys (new to him) in it.
ETA- Why can't you leave him on the floor to use the bathroom?
Because he makes a bee-line for the TV cord or other things that we can't hide and he shouldn't be messing with. We rent and the builder put the plugs in the living room 4 ft from each corner of the walls instead of the middle, so it is impossible to block them with the furniture. We hope to get a bigger wall unit in a few months to block one of them off.
What about a stand alone baby pen like this

We might have to go that route. I just hope he'll tolerate it.

Here is the playpen I bought months ago so that I can be ready when she starts to crawl. My issue is not cords really it is the stairs, the dog food bowl and my older kids toys ( mostly legos and littlest pet shops). I Have been training them to keep their toys upstairs for months but it really is hard to make sure all pieces are upstairs all the time.. Plus I'm not so sure I will be able to find baby gates that will work for us. IN the past we you just buy the normal tension type gate and my husband and I could step over them but now with bigger kids that need to get over the gates they might not be tall ebought to step over the gates.
So long story short the play pen will buy me time until I really have to spend the big bucks on gates with a door. and screw them into the wall.
like PP said, 2 inches will go pretty slowly.
We have a Saftey 1st walker

I'm not sure of the exact height restriction, but it's just a little seat, so it seems like she could use it for awhile. I like it because the little toys on it can swing out and there's a tray underneath. I usually put blocks or something on the tray for her.
I put the baby gate up in the hallway, shut all the doors and have a basket of toys that I bring just for when I need to use the restroom or shower. Emily crawls up and down the hall while I do what I need to and there isnt anything she can get into that will hurt her.
might try gaiting off a space like this for when you need a little time.
