NBR: heart attack moment of the day

Keep in mind it is storming here, which kind of sets the mood for this. I was sitting here folding laundry in the living room when I looked up and saw someone walking RIGHT outside my window. Couldn't see a face because he (?) had his hood up and was looking down. I live in a neighborhood and there is no reason for someone to be so close to my house unless they are actually coming to the door, but by the time I saw him and jumped up, he had disappeared! I ran around looking out the windows in the direction he had been walking and hoodie man was nowhere to be found. I finally spotted him disappearing around the corner of the house across the street. I guess he is reading meters? Do they DO that during storms??? Also, the first place I looked for him was out the window where our meter is, and I didn't see him there. Normally my dogs would have gone nuts the second he entered my yard, but they are hiding from the storm!

Reading back over this I feel silly, but it just really startled me to look up and see someone right outside my window, and then for him to disappear like that!

  • They'll read meters in any weather here. Maybe he's new and didn't know where your meter was?

I'd still be locking the doors. (and, for me, I'd be setting the dog beside the baby. He's totally her big, scary protector. Unless she wants puppy-cuddled, then he's mr. squishy)
