Last night I seriously thought I was going to lose it. DS was screaming from about 6pm-10 off and on and consistently from 8-10 non-stop. Nothing was consoling him and DD (3 yrs) started getting upset, my husband was getting frazzled--this phase just sucks! Anyone else going through the same thing? I know it's common to experience extended periods of crying but I just hope this doesn't last long!
Re: 3+ hrs. of crying--ahhhh!
I deal with it every single night. Usually 6-10pm.
The worst part? I am by myself with ds31 and #2 since DH works until 1030pm. It so tough.
I just tell myself that it won't be this way forever.
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
We're going through the same thing!
We are using gripe water and gas drops with every feeding to hopefully beat the gas before it gets LO upset. We are also changing up the food in the house so no one is full of gas....
We have to walk the LO up and down the stairs to get him to take a break from screaming. We also take breaks...one person goes upstairs with the door closed and the TV on and the other takes the baby downstairs and deals with the screaming. At least one of us is getting a break and we can switch off.
A friend just left our house with her 5 month old and she promised that this tapers off by 3 months, maybe even sooner. She went through this with both of her children and it's just a phase as their little bodies are growing and they are getting use to life outside the womb. Hang in there....we are basically counting down the days until we hit the next marker...3 months here we come!
I know where you are coming from. DS was colicky and I pray my DD isn't. It's so tough! You've gotten some good advice.
Some things that helped us: gripe water and mylicon, lots of time spent on his belly draped over one of our arms with our palm on his belly (helped get out the gas), warm compresses on the belly, bicycling the legs.
The good thing is it will pass, but I know while you are dealing with it, it feels like it never will!
