Nap nanny chill

My 4 week old son has terrible reflux. He is on 2 meds for it and he also has a  milk protein intolerance which doesn't help.... The only way anyone can get sleep around my house is if he sleeps on my chest in a recliner. We have to find a solution cause I can't sleep in a chair forever! We have a co sleeper in our bedroom but he splits up when we lay him flat so I was wondering if anyone has used a nap nanny in a co sleeper. I know they say only use the nap nanny on the floor. I just want to see if anyone had tried this combo before I went and spent 130$ on the nap nanny.

Re: Nap nanny chill

  • You can't use a nap nanny on anything other than the floor. A 4 month old died because they got shifted and their face got pinned between the nap nanny and their crib. (Picture below is a doll)

I think there are a lot of people who use the Rock'n'play sleeper for Reflux babies. It keeps them on an angle and elevated, so that might be what you are looking for. Plus it's much cheaper than the nap nanny. https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Newborn-Rock-Sleeper-Yellow/dp/B002M77N22

  • We currently have our Nap Nanny in the Arms Reach Cosleeper.  There is no space on any of the sides and his head is above the edges of the cosleeper.  DS also has terrible reflux and is four weeks old.  I will say, that the Nap Nanny isn't a great place for him to sleep yet.  Since his chin is resting on his chest, he has some problems breathing.  I spend most nights on the couch while he sleeps in the Rock n Play next to me.  He doesn't have breathing issues in the Rock N Play and it helps keep him upright to avoid the reflux problems.

  • The nap nanny scares me, only because of all the attention it got last year. I have 7 week old twins that HATED sleeping flat in the bassinets. So I went and bought fisher price rock and play sleepers. They are the best gear out there! My babies have been sleeping great.
  • Anyone have a hard time transitioning their LO into their cribs after the rock n play. .... We are terrified haha
