I invite you to AW your LO here!

Re: I invite you to AW your LO here!

  • DS1 is really amazing me lately with the stuff he is learning in school. He will randomly point out letters and tell me "That's a G, for Gavin" or "That's an A, for Ava" and it makes me so happy his little brain is absorbing this stuff at school.

DS2 is THIS close to walking and cruises all over the living room holding on to stuff. He just discovered the train table so now his favorite activity is to stand there and pitch trains backward over his shoulder. It makes DS1 so mad, lol. But they play together all the time now and its really cute.

  • Let's see... I love the way the girls play and get along with each other. C loves A so much and this picture says it all. image

And C wants to show you all what she can do! Sorry for those who have seen this picture! image

  • DS is rolling over!!  It's so cute, it takes so much effort but he is definitely doing it. I also think he is really close to sitting up on his own (maybe within the next month). I get so happy when he hits a milestone but sad.  I liked my baby who snuggled with me all day long during maternity leave lol.

  • L is SO close to walking.  She does laps around the coffee table and loves her push toy.  She is funny in that instead of trying to turn it when she plows into something, she just goes to the side of it and pushes the other direction.  She tries to throw the ball for the dog, but apparently she does not throw it adequately, because he either brings the ball back to me, or just takes it and walks away after a couple of throws from her.  Lastly, apparently at daycare she hides her paci like a dog with a bone.  They couldn't find it Friday through Tuesday, and lo and behold on Wednesday, she crawled over to a little hole in a toy, retrieved her "lost" paci, and popped it into her mouth.  1-year pics this weekend!

  • Love the pic of Annabelle and Caroline together laughing soooo cute!!

Ella was cracking me up on teh way to school this morning.

I told her we were goign to see a show this weekend and she asked if there would be ballerinas dancing - which was the last "show' we saw - 10 months ago!!!  I told her no ballerinas but there would be singing and dancing, but no ballet.  Then she reminded me that she had the same skirt on at the ballet show (last December!) that she had on today.  I guess she really liked the ballet if she remembered it a year later (and what she wore!)  She also remember that her friend was there too.

She also asked me "how does babies get in their mommy's tummys" today.  I wasn't expecting that for another couple years.

  • Kieran is officially out of therapy.  He has been in either physical therapy or speech therapy since about 13 months.  It is bitter sweet, because I liked that he had someone working with him 1:1 and giving me tips.  I do love that he has caught up on everything and doesn't need it anymore.

I counted his words the other day and I stopped counting at 100.

I just can't believe how far he has come and how big he is now.

  • DS is talking up a storm lately. Every other day it seems he's learned a new word and he's learning FAST. I am amazed at how quickly he picks stuff up. It's so cool to ask him a question and have him actually give a real answer (only sometimes, but still better than never!). One of his new words in the past week or so is "no" which is useful when he uses it right, but he seems to like to just practice using it all the time, lol. He blows kisses to us and says night night at bedtime which completely melts our hearts. He's almost got "I love you" down. He's such a little *person* now! He's trying our patience big time with the tantrums but one second we're trying to hold our ground and ignore him while he's screaming and the next second we're laughing at how abruptly the tantrum ended and gushing over how cute he is.

  • DD is getting so big. Hard to believe she will be a year on Black Friday. It really does fly by. She is a master at crawling now and is very close to walking. She can walk/make her way around the living room holding onto the couches and also she will balance and stand still without holding on. She loves books and seems to "read" to herself and Jade. She loves the mirror and said her first word already (baby). She says it everytime she gets in her carseat (since we have one of those mirrors on the headrest so that I can see her as I drive). She's doing well with STTN and putting herself to sleep. She just moved up into 12mo clothing.

I think that's it, for now! LOL

  • Bailey is just awesome and amazes me every day with how smart she is. She picks up on things so easily and has a memory like no other. I put a dress on her one day and casually commented that daddy picked it out. Any time she sees the dress she says "dada". She is a pro with her shape sorter and can already tell me some of the shape names (triangle and star) which shocked me. It kind of validates that I'm doing a good job as a mom since I worry from time to time that she's not getting the proper "education" she'd get in a day care setting (which is silly I know since she gets one on one attention but I always worry I'm not doing enough). She's got a little temper on her and she loves to push the limits (ahh 2 will be fun!) but she's also so sweet and wants to share everything. If she's drinking or eating she offers it to everyone, including the dog or people who aren't even there. Love her.

  • Aiden is like a sponge at school.  He will retell the stories they read almost word for word.  He knows all his letters and we're starting sounds and sight words.  It's just amazing how fast he picks stuff up.  And he's a fantastic big brother to Claire.  He's always watching out for her and loving on her.

Claire comprehends everything we say.  If I ask her to get something or do something she will.  We are working on naming things in one of those baby's first 100 words book and she picks up on the names really quick.  She's just such a precious blessing to all of us.

  • Jack is growing so fast.  He's cutting his 4th tooth.  He can also crawl like a champ.  He's able to stand by himself and is cruising the couch already.  I think he'll be walking in the next couple of weeks.  It's amazing how fast they change.

  • Sydney amazes me with all she knows. We were watching "SuperWhy" on Sprout the other morning and they put 3 words on the screen and asked which one was the word "polite." She went up to the tv and pointed to the right one!! Not that I think she can read yet, but she does recognize some letters and it makes me so proud.

Violet is two weeks old and doing well. She started off giving me 4 to 6 hours of sleep at night, but the past two nights its been more like two or three hours. Growth spurt maybe? Who knows. We all adore her and as nervous as I was about having a second child, I already can't imagine life without her.

  • Emily is growing up way too fast.  I swear she just went through her second growth spurt since March.  None of her fall pants fit anymore, they're too short.  Thankfully they were all hand me downs.  She's also started singing, she likes Taylor Swift.  :)

Lucy is growing too - she's also cruising and we're hoping she'll take her first steps when MIL is here (MIL arrives tonight).  She's busy and into everything and she's singing too but with much fewer words.
