My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy. Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.

It's not late-night anymore, but I'm fighting the morning doldrums, so I'm going to play along.
Were you named after someone? Nope. Mom says she made up my name. There are a few other people who had the same idea, but none anywhere near me. When I was younger, I hated that my name was so different, but now I like it.
ETA: I do share my Mamaw's middle name... it's Aria's middle name too.
Favorite dessert? Angel food cake with pink cream cheese icing. Has to be pink, any other color and I'm not as excited about it.
If you were a crayon what color would you be? I'd be one of those mixed crayons... a mix of a deep blue, emerald, and amethyst.

What's one event in your life that has changed you? NOT including giving birth! Meeting my husband. He is such a good, kind-hearted person... such a heart of gold. It makes me want to be like him, and has helped me learn to control my temper and my tongue.

When I was younger and watching my great grandma go through chemo when she had best cancer and just seeing her go from a happy healthy person to being weak from the chemo but still maintaining her happiness and loving heart made me realize that no matter the circumstances you always have to stay positive.

I felt like that was the first time in my life I ever did something against the wishes around everyone around me, but I knew it was the right thing to do for me. As for Ariel, she was the one I was most familiar with growing up. we didn't really have Disney movies at home. plus she was the hottest one at Disney World.
