Caroline?

DH and I are having a hard time agreeing on names for our little girl.

We somewhat agree on Caroline, but I'm wondering if there's a "better fit" with big sister Alyssa.  I would also like the mn to be Cindy to honor my mom... thoughts/suggestions?

I think Caroline and Alyssa are perfect. Although I also really like Olivia and Alyssa.

Caroline Cindy just doesn't flow well to me. It's a lovely name though. With a sister Alyssa, I like Leah or Kelsey.

I LOVE Caroline and I think it sounds great with Alyssa.  But I don't love the flow of Caroline Cindy.

Caroline is adorable and it goes well with Alyssa, IMO. However, I don't like Caroline Cindy as a FN MN combo.

I agree with pp - Cindy is going to be a tough mn for flow - though that shouldn't prevent you from using it. Or could you consider using your mom's middle name or grandma's name?

I love the name Caroline and think it goes fine with Alyssa.

I love Caroline. I wouldn't worry about the flow with Cindy though. I think it's a beautiful way to honor your mother.

I'm glad it flows well as a sib set with Alyssa.

I was worried about the flow with mn for my mom.... i'm torn whether to find a different way to honor her, or just keep it even though it's not the best flow. How bad would it be to give her two middle names Caroline _______ Cindy? And if so, what should the other mn be?

(I preferred Carolina too, but DH veto'd.)

Is her full name Cynthia by chance?  I think Caroline Cynthia sounds a bit better than Caroline Cindy.  But I think a double middle name works too!  Either way, the name is honoring someone, so flow doesn't have to be perfect.

Caroline is our #1 girl's name.  I don't think it really flows with Cindy, but since your MN pick has significant meaning, who cares about flow?

 how often will she be referred to by her whole name right? maybe if we can't find another mn we'll just keep it as is, flow or not.

I agree, mn's aren't used all that much.

If you're still concerned about the flow can you use your mothers mn instead of first?

i thought of that... DH doesn't much like her mn, but i might try to see if he'd like the flow better. (btw it's Leigh)

i'm open to first names that flow better with Cindy, but seeing as Caroline is the only one we agree on right now, we might just have to skip good flow i guess. thanks for the insight

I found Lenora, means "light" and Cindy means "light" do you think that's too far outside of the box to really honor my mom? &/or does that even flow?
