Finally back from the Dr w/good news!

First, thank you all for your support...it meant a lot those first few days when I was freaking out!

The awesome news is I don't need any treatment except symptom management, which is nothing more that what I've already been doing (applying steroid cream for itchiness.). I do need a full work up (PET scan and a few other tests) but since I don't have any other symptoms that they are concerned about, the doc feels comfortable waiting until I am done nursing, even if tht's more than a year from now. They gave me a list of symptoms to report immediately, did some blood work, and sent me on my merry way. Thy will send me the results of my blood work, and as long as everything is normal, I'll see them in four months. The one crappy thing is that even though this is NBD as far as cancer goes, I will have to be followed for it for the rest of my life...but I'll take that!

Man that was a long ass day. My appointment started at 9:30am, I didn't leave until 2:40pm...I hadn't eaten since 8am! Panera never tasted so good! Gabe was a superstar too. Thanks for keeping me company ladies :-)
