I started having mild contractions yesterday, and was told by my OB to go to L&D to get monitored. Contractions weren't painful, and were not consistent at all. Got to L&D around 5:30pm, and was at 4 cm! I was started on penicillin and magnesium, received steroid shot for babies lungs, and rushed by ambulance to nearest hospital with NICU, which was only 45 mins away. Luckily contractions slowed down, and today they are very irregular, maybe 3 per hour. I'll receive second steroid shot tonight, and goal is to make it 24 hrs after that. This all happened so fast...luckily, u/s this morning showed baby a at 5lbs 12oz, and b at 5 lbs 7 oz, and both head down. Hoping for two healthy babies in the next few days!
