at a paint your own pottery place? i'm thinking about taking DD to have her paint a mug or something like that for her nanny for xmas. DD likes to play with tadoodles and makes 1-2 masterpieces at a time. think she'll enjoy it or am i kidding myself?

Maybe.  We went to one of those places for a bday party over the summer and Luc kind of got the concept.  It did seem like the little girls were having more fun, but they were all 2-3yo.  It could be worth trying though!  I think it'd be an awesome present for your nanny.

You know, her attention will probably wane fairly quickly so if you can get in & get it done in relatively short order, that would probably be best.  I'd definitely do it though, since the receiver of the gift will absolutely *love* it.  DH took DD#1 to one of those places for a mothers day gift for me when she was about 2 & it was the best!
