I never introduced myself! (long!)

I just kinda showed up one day. Although I've been here long enough that maybe this isn't necessary...

Hi, I'm Tiffany! I met my husband online through a chat channel on IRC in 2004. I was in the process of looking for a new college since I felt the one I was at was too big for me, and didn't have the program I wanted. He suggested a school in West Virginia (his state, but 2.5 hours from where he lived.) All looked good, and my parents were game, so I moved from Nova Scotia, Canada, to West Virginia in the fall of 2005.

And then we were married that December. I didn't tell my parents beforehand, it just sort of happened. One Wednesday I said, over the phone, "we should probably just go ahead and get married," and then that Saturday we were. My mom kinda flipped (obvs, 27 year-old-me realizes that wasn't the smartest thing to do) so we had another wedding all proper in a church that summer at home.

After living in cheap/awful apartments, and then with my mother-in-law for almost three years, we jumped the WV ship and moved to Ohio because I had a better job opportunity. Almost two years later, we had saved enough to buy our first home, and decided it was time to have a baby (husband has a 16 year old son who lives in KY with his mom who visits us often.)  

And then we had a baby, but you guys know that part.
