I posted a couple weeks ago about my son complaining about/rubbing/ and excessively blinking his eyes. I thought I'd just post a quick update. I took him to my optometrist 2 weeks ago. They did a basic exam and determined that he didn't have a lazy eye and were pretty certain he did not need a prescription. The eye doctor thought his bottom lids were growing inward causing his bottom lashed to scratch his eyes. The dr. was really good and C did great. I took him back at their request on Thursday so they could dilate his pupil and get a better look at the backs of his eyes to r/u anything else. With the exception of having the drops actually put in C did really well. The eye doctor still thinks it is the lash thing and has referred us to a pediatric opthamologist at Sick Kids. I will be glad for an expert opinion, and apparently this problem is common in small kids and they can do a minor "eye job" to fix it. I am not quite sold on the whole surgery thing but we'll see what they say.
