cloth diaper mommas

TOH What are your pros and cons to cloth diapering? I'm thinking about trying it out, but I haven't convinced myself yet. Any insight is helpful.

Re: cloth diaper mommas

  • Pros: it's way easier than it seems, so much better for the environment, cheaper than sposies (especially if you plan to have more than one child), and baby has a super cute, chemical free bottom!

The only con I can think of is that there is a little trial and error involved in what kind of diaper will fit your kid, and sometimes working out a wash routine. But it's way, way worth it.

  • My biggest pro is the cost savings my second would be the health aspect less diaper rash and no chemicals. Plus it's way better for the environment.

  • The only con is the laundry, but its no biggie and I hate doing laundry. I have 22 BG 4.0s and can do laundry every other day. I try to do it everyday, but I COULD do it every other.

Major pro is the smell. I hated the was sposies smelled. My diaper pail smells like caramel since I EBF.

DH even likes cloth better and we have had no complaints from grandparents when they use them.
    I make cute babies.

  • I use a diaper service $80 a month but someone bought me a year for a baby shower gift I throw all my dirty diapers in the pail and every Tuesday night I leave my dirty diapers on the porch and they drop me off new fresh diapers.

    Pros:

. - my baby hasn't bad a diaper rash (they're less likely to get diaper rash)

       - it'll be easier to potty train her because the cloths feels like undies and no one likes pooin' in their u undies

     - its easier to tell when they go #1 or#2 in cloth diapers

     - better for the environment

    Cons

     - they're hard to travel with I usually bring a doggie bag that masks odor to put my used cloth difapers in and carry a couple of disposables too

Other than that it's all I can think of hope this helps

    P.s.

    I love cloth diapers
