I have a Moby wrap, it was a gift from my cousin because I was really excited about it and really wanted it. Chloe is 6 weeks old tomorrow and I haven't used it yet. I'm a total chicken. I've watched the video and I keep wrapping myself in it but it feels wrong? Maybe it's because my waist is tiny and my hips are big so everything just slides up into my waist...
But my baby is squirmy so I'm terrified to even try to put her in it... plus it's brown, and I have dogs, so now it's covered in visible fur because the ends hit the ground when I try to put it on and my floors always have fur despite vacuuming every freaking day.
Should I suck it up and buy and Ergo or Bjorn?

I was scared too. I picked one up last week. Cam now pretty much lives in it. I'm still getting used to it, but Im starting to get used to it. You at least have to try it once. I bet you'll like it.
Eta: that makes no sense. I'm really tired an too lazy to try and fix it.

I also found the included picture instructions the most helpful. I still used the newborn hug hold and put it on "folded"
You should at least give it a try before purchasing a different type of wrap/carrier/sling.
If you still don't want to use it, then try a Beco or Ergo soft carrier. Ring slings are also pretty awesome, and much less $$ than the soft carriers. HTH and GL!

I used and ergo with little sisters, an hated it, it was hard on the shoulders and if you had them on your back you tend to slouch forward because it feels as if they pull you backwards.
I had a lot of problems with mine until I found this video.
Now I wrap DS in it and he likes it, plus I can get stuff done around the house (this is the only way I wear it where it feels like he won't fall out). HTH...
