AW: Half Baked!

I honestly cannot believe I am this pregnant! I am really starting to believe that this is truly our rainbow baby, and that 20 (or so) weeks from now, DH and I will be bringing our precious child home from the hospital.

While I am so so thrilled to be half way there, I am still so so sad about losing my mom 2 weeks ago. I know the pain of losing mom will be with me for a while, but it is just so overwhelming. I feel so bad for Benjamin, because during what is supposed to be the "happiest" time of my life (PgAL brain aside), so much of the joy I feel for him has been completely erased by the gigantic hole in my heart  since my mom passed. She was such a huge part of my life, we talked everyday, saw each other at least 3 times a week, went to church together every Sunday. She was so excited to be a grandmother (again) and was also my appt buddy...

I am so sorry I turned this into a pity party... that was not my original intention. I am truly thrilled to be to the half way point of this pregnancy, I never thought I would ever get this far! Next week I hope to be posting my first BPF, because I have a mega bump going on! Lots of love to you ladies!

Congrats on being half baked!  That is definitely something to celebrate.  And many wishes for peace and healing regarding the loss of your mother.

First of all, congratulations on being half baked!  What a beautiful milestone!

 

I understand a bit what you are going through, as I lost my father August 7th of this year.  While I know there is a huge difference between mothers and fathers when it comes to pregnancy, I do share in the feeling of my grief taking over a lot of the joy I want to be feeling right now.  It's so hard to move forward knowing your baby won't know their grandparent; that awesome person who raised you and that you loved your entire life.  I haven't figured out how to heal the wounds left by the loss of a parent, but I do know that being pregnant reminds me that there is a circle to life, and we all must follow that circle.  Our babies will have some very special guardian angels watching over them, that I am sure of.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom.  This is such a hard time to be going through such a sad, sad time.  Hugs to you, I wish I could say something more to help.

Congrats on the great milestone! Half baked is nothing to scoff at. I'm so sorry about the loss of your mom, I know how hard losing a parent is, and I can tell you that although the pain will never be gone it will get better.

In the meantime, we are here for you! ((hugs))

Congratulations on reaching this milestone!  I am sorry it has come at such a sad time, but I am glad you are able to look forward and anticipate a day when you will bring this LO home.
