All purpose cleaner

Google had a couple different options, so I thought I could get a more specific reccomendations here.

I want a simple, safe, homemade product to replace my 409 all-purpose spray for wiping down the counter tops and table. I know vinegar is awesome, do you use it all by itself? Or mix it with stuff?

Tell me your recipe! TIA!

  • I use 1c white vinegar, 1c water, 1Tbsp Dr.Bronners, and 1/2tsp sweet orange oil. Shake before each use. Works great!

  • Shaklee is a great company for safe cleaning products. They carry an all purpose cleaner called "Basic-H". You buy a bottle of concentrate for about 12 bucks and you are able to make up to 48 gallons of cleaner out of it. You mix just a little in a spray bottle of water and have a glass cleaner, a little more and you have an all purpose cleaner and a little more gets you a degreaser. Non-toxic also, so you can wash all babys things with it with no worries if it ends up in babys mouth 2 minutes later.

BTW the company was the first ever to make a biodegradable nontoxic organic cleaner over 50 years ago so you can count on it not to just be some fad, and they also carry all laundry products with no phosphates. I use only cleaners from Shaklee and I have never been dissapointed!
