I don't have anyone IRL I can tell right now, so no flames pretty please.
DH was a dumba$$ last TR. We rarely do the deed but when we do, we use condoms. He is the typical dumb male "just let me feel you for a minute" but then he puts the condom on. Well, he was slowing down but not acting like he was about to reach for the condom box and I was like- you didn't finish did you?!? And he says "oops". WTF?!? I know it takes two, but he's my husband, so I trust him to be responsible when it comes to this.
#1 I had a c-section and the doctor told us not to try until DS is at least 9 months (and I have told him more than once that I am afraid my uterus would explode!). But seriously, what happens if you get pregnant too soon after a c-section? #2 It is a horrible time financially and insurance wise. We were originally going to start ttc at 9 months but since we moved 6 months ago I still have not been able to find a job, so we agreed we would wait longer.
When is the soonest you would take the test? I am trying to wait until next TR if AF doesn't come first. I got my first pp period at 6 weeks and they have been fairly regular until this month of course. Twice this month I felt a little crampy like I was about to get my period but then it never came and now I am officially late, but it could just be a coincidence. I had some left over ovulation tests from when we were ttc and I took one the next day and got a regular line and a faint line, which is supposed to be negative- but I know the window on those is short too.
I am hopeful that AF will come, but I also can't say I wouldn't be happy to be pregnant again, just pissed at DH about the timing. It will be hard.
I hate the waiting...
Re: waiting to poas- tmi
I also had a c section and spoke to my dr at my follow up about future pregnancies. She said that she just likes to see patients deliveries be 1 year apart so as soon as your 3 months PP you're good to go. Good luck!
Thanks! That is good to hear. I didn't have any complications and my scar healed beautifully. My doc just said to wait 9 months because then my uterus won't really start to stretch until the 1yr mark.
My dr said I could TTC again in August - 6 months after my c section. A friend of mine got pregnant when her LO was 3 months old. She just had her baby and all was well. Repeat c/s - everything went smooth! So medically - have no fears. GL!
TTC #2 since 10/2013
BFP #1 (4.14.14) ~ CP (4.18.14)
BFP #2 (6.27.14) ~ EDD 3.7.15
I hope you know that condoms, used perfectly, ie put on before fooling around, are still only 85 percent effective. If you were serious about everything you said a few weeks back, I would definitely recommend two forms of birth control, if not totally avoiding sleeping with the guy you described in those past posts, at least while you work out whether or not you are going to divorce him.
Don't let yourself get trapped into a lifetime of misery for one night of fun with a guy who doesn't even respect you or your little one.
I feel a little better about the issues we were having a few weeks ago, no plans at all to leave at this time and am looking for a counselor for us. We didn't have any set time that we were going to try for #2 yet. When we were pregnant with DS we were going to try for #2 at 9 months because we want them close in age and we are mid-30s, however, with everything going on I had figured it would be a lot longer than that before we tried and wasn't going to put a time limit on it. I admit in the back of my mind I do have a faint wonder if he is trying to pull the reverse crazy girl move of trapping me with a pregnancy or if he just had a momentary dumba$$ moment. He does have quite a few dumba$$ moments.
