If you're doing them for "Christmas", I'd do a "winter" theme maybe but not necessarily Christmas.

See, I originally thought "Oh, duh, Christmas/winter themed pictures for Christmas gifts!" then I thought, "but I want my family to enjoy these pictures year-round... so maybe I should do something more generic?"

I'm probably over-thinking this.

I think fall pics are beautiful enough to display year-round. Maybe I'm biased though... we were married in the fall, and our honeymoon pics are some of my favorites!!

I like fall themed, especially if you can get a picture of Aria playing in the leaves or throwing some leaves or something cool like that.  If you wait until the leaves change colors I bet you can get some awesome shots.

tough choices.. I love the fall as well as christmas. Since they are christmas gifts and it's LO's first christmas, I voted for christmas pictures. I would think you could do a Christmas photo shoot but take at least a few that just seem "winter-y" so they could be displayed year round. I would want to capture LO's first Christmas and can't wait to do it myself!

If it was a Christmas or neutral setting, they'd be taken at our phitographer's studio. The fall ones would probably be taken on location somewhere. My parents have a gorgeous backyard on the golf course, with some really pretty trees... Maybe there? My photog has permission to use some places as well.

I'd do the outside but not an obvious fall theme ( no pumpkin, haystacks etc).
