If you rented a pump from the hospital...

What did you do with all of the parts that were yours after you returned it? I'm loathe to just throw them away. I figured I could save the bottles for sensory play when DD is older, and if I were a totally inappropriate mother the flanges would be great for a baby Madonna costume...

  • Hahaha. You mean if you were an AWESOME mother?? Go for it!

I might hang onto them in case I need them the next time around. I'll at least hold onto the bottles. They gave me all the parts I needed for free so I don't feel that awful about just trashing them.

  • I'm still renting mine, but I will be stashing the flanges. I sadly have huge nipples and had to get the biggest size they have. So, I will keep them for next time.

I don't know why it didn't even occur to me we might need them for future babies. Probably because I'm sleep deprived.

  • I rented one for a few weeks with DS1. I chose the brand at the hospital that matched my home-grade pump (Ameda rather than Medela) and then had an extra set of everything for "free".
