February 2012 Moms

This baby amazes me.

Adria's never once tried to pull up on anything.

Just now, she wiggled over to me, pulled up to her knees, and stood up. She's done it three times now, like she's a pro.

The speed that these babies learn things at amazes me.

What new things has your baby done this week?

  • Wow!! Mikey is just starting to crawl and I am so in love with him! It's amazing to see the little gears in his head working to try to figure out what he needs to do. He's also starting to say "dada" and  my hubby is so happy!

    Loving these cuties!

  • DS is trying to start to what we call free stand, which is where he will crawl somewhere like to the middle of the room and then lift his entire body into the air like an upside down V as is trying to stand on his own and not pull up on things like he has been doing! He stays that way for a bit before realizing he can't get his hand off the grounds then lowers himself down! He does this alot, I think he will be standing up and walking before his birthday!! Our babies are so amazing!!

  • DD started clapping today.  I recorded it, now I just have to figure out how to upload it.  It's so cute!!

  • Paige started clapping too!  I love it.  She is also saying dada and walks when I am holding her hands.

Love our February babies so much!

  • L is thisclose to crawling. Actually, I've seen her do it in her crib but being on the floor seems to overwhelm her - she'd rather just roll wherever she wants to go!  She's also pretty content to just sit independently and play - frankly, I'm loving this stage and not in any hurry for her to get the hang of crawling!

Playing Peekaboo is her new favorite thing - and she gives high fives 75% of the time!  We're working on waving and clapping - I love all those little "tricks!"

  • YAY for our Feb babies! Natalie just started trying to stand up on her own. She first tried to crawl on me and then pushed up to a standing position without holding onto anything! I was shocked!! She did this three times in a row! I can't believe how fast they are growing up! At this rate, Nat is going to be trying to walk next month. I just wish she could put all of this energy into sleeping longer stretches ;)

  • These babies are growing up so fast!! Do you guys remember how we were when they were 3 months?? Everyone freaking out about their first shots and first growth spurts? Crazy!!

Reece is pulling up too...  in fact I lowered his mattress in his crib a couple weeks ago, but I guess I need to lower it one more notch?  He stands up and I am afraid he is still going to go overboard...oh... and he bites the wood on his crib... lovely.   He now crawls over to me and climbs up on me, he gives kisses... it's adorable because you pretty much get slimed every time.  He waved bye bye to me this morning and he is a chatter box. I love him!

  • I feel like the last couple of weeks my little baby has started to disappear and a toddler is showing up.

DD has started crawling and pulling up.  Last week 2 bottom teeth showed up.  She also started saying Dada and Mama this weekend and last night she very clearly said Jack (the name of our dog).  She also loves to shake her head when there is music playing.  In the bathtub she is like a little mermaid.  She get on her belly and "swims" back and forth.  Occasionally taking a break to sit back up and smile.  This morning on our way to daycare she was tickling her own feet and laughing.

I am really loving this age/stage of life so much.  Everyday it is truly something new.

  • I was just talking to DH about this! I felt like DS had a huge developmental growth spurt at 3 months when he started grabbing things, responding, rolling etc. He changed so quickly. Now between 7.5 and 8 months he has beel crawling, pulling up and standing, walking along things, kneeling, can get to sitting on his own, says Mama and Hi, and has greatly increased his "vocabulary". Not to mention his food intake has totally changed as well as he can now put himself to sleep. He is like a whole different baby!

She first had her hands on my leg and then pushed herself up and stood there for 10 seconds before falling back down. I'm just shocked she had enough balance to get up! Most of the time, she's unstable and needs the support of the furniture to stay up. Our babies are growing up too fast!
