Is chills a symptom of pregnancy?

Last week, I though I was getting sick. I just hit 7 weeks pregnant when this began. Thursday night I was nauseous all night long and had chills. And it's been off and on since then. Just wondering if the chills are common. Since I never had a fever or throwing up, I just figured it was pregnancy sickness and not the flu. And my taste has been messed up since last week too. I have my first doctors appt tomorrow but I thought I'd ask you ladies in the meantime

  • I had chills a couple nights. Now it's one day hot and the other cold.

  • The last 4-5 days for me have felt exactly like the flu.  I constantly feel warm headed (never a fever though), and I get chills at night.  I have that warm, gross fluish feeling all day long.  I posted about it too, and it doesn't seem we are the only ones.  I guess it beats vomiting day and night though.

  • Weird, I've been freezing all day and hoping that I'm not coming down with something.

  • I've been hot and cold.  Mostly hot though...if I wasn't pregnant I'd think I was having hot flashes/going through early menopause!

I've been very cold since I found out I was pregnant.  This happened last time, too.  For me, I think it's just another symptom.  I hope it is for you too, and that you aren't getting sick!

This is what I was going to say. It's not so much that I have chills that come and go as that I'm freezing pretty much all the time. Which is weird, because I thought I'd be hot... maybe as I get into my 3rd tri!

  • My chills hit me every night about 6:30 pm.  I was sleeping in slipper socks and long sleeves/ pants even when it was 90 degrees outside.

  • I am so glad to hear I am not alone!  I have been freezing for the past 4 days and thoughts maybe it was the change of weather but it is definitely because I am pregnant - 4 weeks!
  • I am so glad you posted this! This pregnancy has been so different from my last 3 so far! Normally hot flashes, nausea and constipation start very early for me but this time I have the chills and diarrhea. WTF??
  • Do glad to hear I am not alone. I feel like I have the flu and it's so hard to do anything.
