Firmly attached or separation anxiety?

I think some feedback on DS' behavior. He is almost 2.5 yrs old and we also have a 4 month old DD. DS will not let me out of his sight. He won't even let me go to the bathroom, only let's me put him to bed, won't let anyone else dress him, will only snuggle with me, etc. I love that he feels comfortable with me and that I can easily soothe him but with a 4 month old that is EBF and bedshares this can be exhausting. Is this just a phase/age appropriate behavior? Lately multiple people have commented that DS is obsessed with me, in a negative way. I'm his mom, I think he should be very attached to me but at the same time I want to make sure he is gaining the confidence to be himself when I'm not around.

I think any child with a new sibling is going to cling. Totally normal child behavior.

i really have no personal experience, but i think it sounds totally normal too.
