Hank was baptized yesterday. My whole family had a bet on whether he would scream bloody murder or laugh at the water being poured on his head the three times during the ritual. He did great! He looked at our minister like he was crazy but then once he was raised high to the congregation he gave a huge smile and laughed as they clapped while he walked up and down the aisles. It was an awesome experience.
Has anyone else had their baby baptized?! How did it go?
Re: Baptism Experiences
My guy wanted to go back in. He kept eyeing the basin! I knew he wouldn't cry because he loves the water.
Ours was when Austin was 3 months he did wonderfully and didn't cry! The priest is also a family friend and made the entire mass about Austin it was awesome!
J did great, too. He loves our pastor (he has a big low voice, which I think J finds fascinating for some reason, and he looks like he could be related to us), so he just stared at him intently the whole time, which was cute. When the pastor walked around with him to show him to the congregation, he had smiles for everyone.
The best part, though, was that when he actually got the water on his head, some of it dripped down onto the side of his nose, and he sneezed, which got a big "AWWWWW" from the congregation.
