AW: Just bought an OV Watch

Squeeee! I'm still hoping I don't have to use it, but you all know how that goes, gotta plan for the worst for next cycle, because anything that starts CD1 or even 5 has to be ready ahead of time.

Anyone used one before? Any feedback? I'm super excited about because by now everyone knows about my deep hatred of OPKs.

You wear it at night I think, and it senses your fertility by measuring the conductivity of your skin or certain levels of ions in your skin or something like that. Basically - detects your fertile days ahead of time.

  I first found them shortly after I bought my CBEFM.  I really wish I had found this first and tried it, but I had already shelled of the $$$ for the other.  I had a friend that got one, but it never worked for her.  I think it had more to do with her PCOS though.  She had to have high doses of medication to help her ovulate.

I want one! Looks mad expensive though. Maybe a few cycles down the road if we (FX we don't) get there. twotexans, are you saying that it doesn't work for people with PCOS or that it didn't work for your friend because she was on meds for her's? I have PCOS, so I'd like to know if it will even work for me before I go and buy one lol

She never ovulated without medication, therefore it would never register an LH surge.  It can't register a surge that isn't there.  She had the same issues with opks.  I'm not sure if she continued once she started ovulation induction meds, i.e. clomid.  I have PCOS, but I still ovulate.  I would assume if I used the OVwatch would pick up my surges just like an opk or the CBEFM.
