Hello!
I have a friend having twins in January. I have heard people say before that they marked things "bought" on their own registries...I registered at BRU and I never saw how to do this. If I bought something I just went on my registry and deleted it.
Now my friend is registered at Target and BRU. I am a fan of shopping around online to pay the cheapest price...but how would I mark it bought on her registry if I don't buy it at the store? Her registries aren't very big so I think there is a very high chance of her getting duplicates (triplicates?) of things if I don't mark what I buy as bought.
Re: How to mark 'purchased' on a registry if you bought it elsewhere
This.
Perfect. Thank you!
BRU is much more willing to work with you than Target will be. My best luck has been to go into the store and talk to them. they can mark it as purchased for you. With Target it is entirely possible, but you will have to call customer service and spend quite a long time on the phone
good luck!
This sounds like an easy way to solve the problem.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
Why don't you ask the store if they can price match?
if not purchase it at the store she registered at then just return it and tell them you don't want it taken off the registry because you got it cheaper elsewhere.
most retail stores aim to please. If you have problems, ask for a manager. There is ALWAYS a way around policies to make customers happy.
