Grunting?

Hello my 6 month old son has been making noises and gabbing for awhile now. I am a working mom but its only 3.5 hours a day Monday through Friday and my dad watches my son while Im working. Well I have noticed it at home, but I guess it happens all the time with my dad...my son has been grunting and sometimes to where he gets beat red in the face. But then he just giggles. So I dont think he is in pain. But it worries my dad. Its not consitpation. I dont know what it is. I asked the Dr and he said he just likes to make noise. But to where he gets red in the face????? Any of your babies do that???

My LO is 8 months and she still grunts. She even makes faces when she is doing it. Cracks me up. I think it is just something she has discovered she can do. I don't think it's anything to worry about. I grunt back at her and it cracks her up.

DS grunts all the time.  Sometimes his face turns red like it does when he's pooping, but I think it's just gas.
