Saline sono and mock transfer Monday

Monday's appointment is a full one. Saline sono, mock transfer, a "few" vials of blood (for what I do not know but the RE mentioned he likes having the thyroid checked within the last year and I never have had that done), and injections teaching...

I'm excited for the appointment but also nervous about the saline sono and mock transfer. I'm supposed to have a full bladder for it....
Any advice for this procedure?

GL!! FX for a smooth and quick cycle! I didn't have to have a full bladder for the trial transfer, but it does make it easier to guide everything around. Just try not to think wet thoughts! The worst part of ET was definitely the full bladder! At least for trial, you will be able to go to the bathroom right after and not have to lay there! :)

I had to have some blood work done too. It was some infectious disease screenings before we could start IVF. DH also had to get it done, but that may be something that is specific to my clinic.

Good luck! I didn't have to have a full bladder for the mock transfer, either. Maybe it's the saline sono that you need it for? They actually had me pee right before the procedure!

The trial itself wasn't bad. It was really similar to the HSG, but I was far less uncomfortable. The worst part was when the saline started (TMI alert) dripping out. Everywhere. All over me, the table and my RE's arm. I was mortified, lol.

Both DH and I had infectious disease screening, too. If you haven't had that done, that might be what it is!

Ask them if you can get your oil changed while you're there! lol Good luck with all the tests! The saline sono/mock txfr wasn't too bad for me, just a little pinching and it was over fast. I didn't have to have a full bladder though.

Don't be jealous J&D, the RE is just doing it all on the same day because we live 3 hours away from the clinic and he wants to minimize the amount of visits for us. He and the nurse even said they'd map out the best way down there so we won't be wasting time in traffic and such! They really like to make things easy for you when you choose their clinic over your local clinic ;)
