My only reference for this name is the actress Sela Ward. I like it, but I pronounce it See-la. I have seen different ways to say it in previous threads.
I pronounced it Sell-uh too. I don't get the other pronunciations out of it. And I don't like it pronounced any way suggested on here. Selah....what are you selling?
Hate it. Selah is the name of a little crappy country town in central Washington.
Not to offend you, but I feel that this is an irrelevant comment. The town is little, and I live in the absolute opposite corner of the U.S. than Washington. Now if we are talking Camden, NJ I'd take that seriously.
Trying not to vent, I just prefer when someone has a logical reason not to use a name. Not for a reason like this or when someone you barely know had a "great aunt Ruby that was soooo mean" irrelevant to me!
