MJ? no
Taylor Swift? yes
LOL. At first, I put yes. But now I see that, of course, a certain amount of discretion must be used.
Ha, yeah, pretty much this.
I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with any celebrity kissing my child on the lips. Male or female. Sure, it's innocent more than likely. But, that's just crossing a boundary.

I agree with this. It was innocent on this occasion. I think I'm especially sensitive to it because I've worked with children who have been sexually abused by people who are supposed to be someone they can look up to (teacher, relative, etc). So for me, it's just not a question. I totally admit that mine is probably an OU, but you can never be too careful, IMHO.

I think letting them get a kiss on stage, provided they want to be involved, is fine. I wouldn't leave my child alone with a stranger, celebrity or not. We all have to have a certain level of trust with teachers, coaches, etc., but there is not a reason for a child and adult to be alone together.
I don't let my DH drive kids home alone, and I typically don't either. If we take a friend home who has been at our house, our kid rides along too.
I'm not ok with it, a kiss on the cheek would have been more appropriate.
I think if a male celebrity had kissed a young teenage girl on the lips people would be in uproar. So I think it needs to extend to both sexes.
