Vaccinations for preemie parents?

I heard that parents of preemies should be up to date on their shots & vaccinations. If this is true, which ones should my husband & I get? Our baby will come home from the NICU in a couple weeks & I want to be ready. Thanks!

Re: Vaccinations for preemie parents?

  • Yes, it is important because preemies are more susceptible to getting sick especially during flu/rsv season. My doctor told us and anyone that will be around my twins to get the flu shot and the whooping cough (pertussis) shots.
