Really tired of my PG Boss

It sounds bad I know, but seriously, I am so tired of this woman. She's still new to me (only been working with her a month and a half or so) and so far she's been a pretty good new boss - however she's 37 weeks pregnant. Every.Single.Day she talks about it, multiple times a day and repeats her information to every person who comes into our office. Every day is some new tidbit about her pregnancy. I really don't care to know about how your vag is stretching out getting ready for birth (and I'm sure the two guys in there don't want to know either). 

Earlier this week another PG girl came into our office for work related stuff, but they ended up talking about their pregnancies for over an HOUR straight. I thought I was going to claw my eyes out.  

At least I wasn't subjected to 80+ ultrasound photos this time... 

 

ETA - Not to mention when she has the baby it will leave me essentially alone in the office, the two guys are higher ranking and are therefore never actually doing much of anything. So they frequently turn to me and say "You're not going to get pregnant and leave us alone in here are you?" Which is awesome and makes me feel wonderful. I can't help myself sometimes when they've asked multiple times not to be snarky.

That has got to be annoying as sh!t.  I've had pregnant boss and employees while going through this but thankfully aside from "how far along are you" or "is it a boy or a girl, any names?" conversations end there.  And they are always short.  Of course, I'm also always able to walk away at my job and just not be near the conversations.  If I was trapped in a room having to always hear them I'm sure I would have gone nuts.  (((HUGS)))

Adding:  at least she's 37 weeks so I assume it will be over soon and you will get at least several weeks leave away from her so there's something to look forward to!

Yes! I know everything about her now, including that she's already 2cm dilated and whatever percent effaced so she'll probably go a week or two earlier than her due date (Oct 19). I am looking forward to 4 months of quiet a non-pregnancy related work environment. Unfortunately my old boss (whom I despise and is also PG and telling everyone she tried for 4 years which is a total LIE) will be back for about 3 weeks but it should be short. 

Lets just hope I don't lose my cool with these two!

This is so annoying! They have no compassion or consideration because everything is about them ALL DAY LONG. My assistant is 35 weeks pregnant so I can definitely relate. If it's not calls from her husband asking how she is, then someone will come to the office and she has to recount every symptom, then what their doing next so I hear it three times. Sometimes I close my office door and cry because if not I'm going to snap at her.

That has got to suck. If it makes you feel any better I get to see my sisterinlaw everyday. she did not want this pregnancy( baby # 5 for her) the only reason she got pregnant is because her and her hubby are to lazy to make an appt to get him snipped. listening to her talk about how funny it is that shes pegnant AGAIN makes me want to SCREAM. not to mention she's the laziest parent I have ever seen!

I never understand why people want to talk about it in excruciating detail. The whole baby thing is great for you, but I really don't want to hear about your vag.

Talk about overshare, I am sure that would annoying and old hearing that day in and day out. Like PP said, at 37 weeks she will be done soon, so you won't have to listen to it. ((hugs)))))))) hang in there.

That blows. I'm sorry she is an oversharer to the extreme. My parapro, who is with me all 40 hours per week in the classroom, was pregnant from October til this past July and I was SO thankful when the end of May came so I didn't have to hear every last detail of her pregnancy. The summer was such a relief to me. I never had the guts to straight up tell her it was bothering me. Some people just don't know when to shut the hell up.

Yeah I dont want to be rude and tell her how much it sucks for me to listen to. Once when I discussed it with her (because nothing can stay private in the military) she said that I shouldn't feel too bad because she's in a difficult position being due anytime now and a three year old at home and her husband deployed recently....Ummm you joined the military knowing that one or both of you will deploy so I refuse to feel sorry for you there! You have 2 kids (almost anyway) so again, can't feel sorry for you!! People are so insensitive. 

But as much as I want a child, to be honest, I'm still totally grossed out by the birthing process and I am petrified of my vag being cut or ripped open. Makes me shiver just thinking about it! So I definitely DO NOT want to hear about how you did natural child birth this time and hear all about your bladder and vag as you prepare this time haha Gross

LOL, YES! This exactly. I want to be pregnant only because I want to have a child. Being pregnant and all the grossness that comes with it, though, still gives me the heebie jeebies.

I'm sorry you have to listen to that all day. My boss is also pg and she actually IMed me to help her brainstorm baby names. I so glad she couldn't see my face when that request came through.
