aquariums...and Valzee

Those who have gone, what exhibit do you suggest? Which did your LO like best? Go earlier in the day or later?

Valzee Have you been to the Florida Aquarium [Tampa]? That's the one we are going to. It looks fabulous according to the website. Was it here that I read some places had stroller rules?

I cannot stinkin wait!! I think T will LOVE it!!! Im trying to get all the cousins together. This one has dining and a kids water park area!!! How awesome! [Unless they all do, I don't know...I've never been] Eeeek

We've been to aquariums and zoos. Cody loves all the exhibits where the animals/fish are moving. If they aren't moving I don't think he can find the animal. He loved the belugas and stingrays. He did great at the sea lion show. And he loved turtles.

Yes, the Florida Aquarium is amazing! There's one room where an entire wall is glass. And they have a splash park out back that's pretty cool.

When are you coming? It's 20 minutes from my house!

I know we go to the same aquarium, so maybe those are everyone's favorites, but Tatum LOVES the stingrays and I think she could stand there watching them all day!  Same with the Belugas, and the one time we took her to the sea lion show, she stood on my lap and clapped through almost the whole thing.  She's wicked scared of the penguins still, though.  She's okay at the outside part of the penguin exhibit when someone is holding her, but I tried to sit her in the bubble window underneath and she had a vice grip on my neck and wouldn't let me put her down.  I love the jellyfish room, but Tatum's not really into that, either.  She was downright terrified in there the first time we went, and did better the second time, but she's still nervous about it.

Cody had fun in the Titanic exhibit.  He got to touch things and play in the boiler room.  I agree, any exhibit where he could stand on the floor he liked.  It was so much more fun this time than when we went 6 months ago.

Cody was also trying to touch the sharks in the touch tank.  He was a little to small to do it though.  Maybe next time.

We went late morning. He was pretty tired but still seemed to enjoy it. He loved the fish. He just watched in awe as they swam around.

20 minutes from you house!?! How cool is that?!?! We deff need to plan a trip to meet up some time!
I would this time but I have no idea when we are going, hopefully 2 weeks or so, and I will be tagging along with 15 other family members [group rate] I would not ever burden someone to hang out with my family.
