Just received a call from my OB with the lab results on my placenta.  There was an abruption with an underlying infection.  She thinks the infection was secondary and caused by the abruption. It helps to explain why they were unable to stop the contractions. 

Today was rough but I feel better now.

    I am incredibly sorry for the loss of Zachary Donald.  Hearing that kind of news can just seem so surreal....no one ever imagines they will be here.  It is still surreal to me some days.  I am glad that you at least got some information, the unknown can be its own kind of awful.  We are all here for you.

    We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.  

    We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

    I am so sorry for the loss of your son.  I hope it helped you to get some answers about what happened.  Not that it will make it hurt any less, but maybe it can help you in a way.

    Thank you ladies. It helps in knowing that there was nothing we could do to stop what happened short of having been put on bed rest at a point when I had zero symptoms of anything wrong and that when we stopped the mag it was the right thing to do.
