Has the time change affected your toddler at all?

DS has been waking at the same time each morning and naps are the same but by 6:30pm now he is cranky. I beginning to wonder if its the time change. He normally goes to bed around 7:30-8. I just wonder if his body is thinking it's 7:30 and time for bed. KWIM?

  • She has been extra cranky during the dinner hour as well. Hopefull she will come around in a couple of days.

  • YES...waking up at 4am sucks!  She's an early riser, and I've accepted that, but 4am is not ok.  Tonight I'm trying to put her bed earlier than usual.
  • Yeah, Nora's sleep is all screwed up and I don't know what to do. We've tried putting her to bed earlier and later and she's still waking up at 5:30 a.m. every morning instead of her usual 6:30 a.m. or 7 a.m.

  • She was affected the first few days for sure, but she's fine now.  We frequently travel 2 time zones away and it only takes her about a day and a half or two days to get on that time zone. . . we just do bed and naps at her regular time (in that time zone) and it kicks her into it pretty fast. . . we did the same for the time change.

  • yep and i hate it! he is getting up super early.
  • He's been waking an hour early.  Still.  It's driving me crazy.  He's napping and I've started putting him to bed a few minutes early because he's basically getting an hour less sleep every day.  And that means I'm getting less sleep, too!

  • yup, he's waking 1-2 hours early.  ugh
  • she's been waking up the same time napping same and going to bed an hour early and I love it!! :)
  • DD is pretty much adjusted to it now.
