Recommendations for Pediatricians in Ho Co.

Congrats!  We have been very happy with Dr. Ambush in Clarksville.  He is very laid back and suits our personalities well.

I've been taking my kids for 4 years to Parnes, May, McKay, and friends(really it's associates ). The kids love it there and so do I. They call back almost right away when I need to schedule an appointment and the office staff and billing is very nice. We see Dr Mailander for well visits and she is wonderful. She takes the time to listen and is very patient with the kids. She has 2 of her own and it shows. There are about 4-5 other doctors in the practice and they're all nice.

I have heard good things about the Pediatric Center.  They have an office in Catonsville and Columbia.

Thanks for the suggestions! Ive actually already made an appt to meet with Dr. Lasser but will look into the others. Is Dr. Ambush in practice by himself? Its rare to find individual doctors these days. Do you ever find it hard to get in for an appt or get in touch with someone after hours?

Dr. Ambush is wonderful.  He's a sole practitioner, yes - and if you have a midday appointment you do tend to wait a bit these days.  Unless it's totally impossible, though, I usually try to avoid that problem by scheduling for first thing in the morning.  Getting in touch after hours isn't a problem at all.  You have his direct cell phone number and he's very responsive.

We see Dr. Chang at the Pediatric Center (we usually go to the Catonsville Office). I really like him. I've heard great things about Dr. Beams, too bad our insurance won't cover her.

We do too, and we also see her mother Dr. Khan in Laurel. I love both.

same here and we adore her. We never have to wait to get an appt, she will come in on the weekends, and she gives you her email address and cell phone number so she's available at all times. I seriously cannot say enough good things about her.

I know a few folks who go to Parnes, May and Associates, and are very happy there.  We met with them before DD1 was born, and one of them (I think it's May or Parnes) has a horrible bedside manner. All the other doctors seem great though.  We're at Klebanow and Associates and LOVE it there.  There are a bunch of doctors, and you can almost always get a same day sick appointment - even if it's not with your primary doctor.  Everyone is great there, including the nurses and front office staff, and the nurse practictioners specialize in things - 2 are lactation consultants, 1 specializes in asthma, etc.  It's really a great practice.
