Double Stroller Recommendations

We're starting to look around for double strollers. Ideally, I'd love to have a Maclaren type umbrella to travel with and then something more suitable for walking and such (we currently have a single Jeep jogger). It doesn't need to be a jogger, but just something that's better on the sidewalks than the umbrella stroller wheels.

Also, DS is really tall for his age, so I'll need something to accomodate taller boys. I'd like to do a side by side rather than tandem. If anyone has any awesome double strollers at home that they would recommend, please let me know! TIA!

We aren't sure if we are going to get one yet.  J doesn't usually want to stay in a stroller for very long, so we are going to hold off on getting one until we really see what our needs are.  BUT, I've done a lot of research and review reading because if we get one, we want just one that will meet our needs.  I am almost 100% on the Baby Jogger City Mini Double (more for the price), if we knew we would get a ton of use out of it we would go for the Mini GT.  I've seen it recc'ed all over the place and it gets generally great reviews on a ton of sites.  So this obviously isn't based on experience, but for some reason I really like researching strollers and have spent a few hours here and there doing so.  I also keep looking on CL and there are usually a few on there, which is probably what we will end up doing if we get one.

We have the phil and teds dash, it has a seat you can hook on the back to make it a tanden stroller.  We used it on vacation with our friends baby and the kids, (12 months, and 7 months) loved it.  It makes it slightly harder to push, but not as bad as a double wide stroller.  Check out craigs list for used ones, my sister just picked up one for less than a $100 with the double seat.

 We bought ours new off ebay with the double seat and it was under $350 with free shipping.

We just bought the Britax b-ready.  Not side by side, but tandem and completely modular.  I like the flexibility it provides with being able to use a baby seat and the toddler seat and then to upgrade to two toddler seats.  I've had it for a week and absolutely love it.  It's large, but any dbl stroller you get will be large.  I am so glad I got it now that I don't have the energy to carry DS around all the time.
