I need a good idea for a gift for my ILs. They were supposed to be flying down to visit us in Jan for a week, but decided they wanted us home for Christmas instead so they are paying for airfare for all of us and letting us stay with them and use their car so we can be home for the holidays. I am beyond shocked and still in denial this is happening. Anyway, we want to get them something special to show them how much we appreciate this. Any ideas? They won't accept anything super spendy and it would probably upset them if we do so nothing extravagant.
Re: s/o Christmas gifts (in laws)
I was going to suggest this as well. We also do a basket of "grandma & papa's favorite things" with a cute little poem attached. We included Keurig K-cups in their favorite flavors, a small gift certificate to their favorite restaraunt, special treats that they like, framed artwork that our LOs made, etc. We added a gift certificate for the portrait session to the basket this year as well and joined with BIL and SIL to help keep costs down. MIL told me that she loved all the thought that went into the basket and that the personalization was great. I think this might become a yearly tradition for us as they are SOOOOO hard to buy for.
Great idea! We did a basket like this for my grandmother one year and she STILL talks about it. It was a lot of fun to put together also!

What if you did a photo book using photos you took while you were there? It would arrive after the holidays but it might be a great token of appreciation, something to remember the trip by.
I was going to suggest a photo session also
Great idea.
That's a really nice idea too. You ladies are all so smart!
