Name Game Top Ten

I know we are sometimes name snobs on here and shun perfectly nice names due to popularity, or because they are now 'boring'. But looking at the top ten list, there are quite a few nice ones there. So if you had to name two boys and two girls from the top 10 list, which would you choose?

If you haven't memorised the list, here it is:

Oooo...interesting. Are we choosing mn's from the top 10 as well? If so, I'd go with:

Boys: Jacob Alexander and William Michael

Girls: Emma Sophia and Mia Isabella

 Wow - I didn't realize these popular names are just TOTALLY not my style until just now. None of those excite me. At all.

Ooh...middle names would make it harder! That's the advanced challenge I guess!
I'll go with Noah William and Ethan Alexander for boys, and Chloe Olivia and Emily Sophia for girls. Hard when so many girl names end with A!

Boys: Jacob and Noah.

Girls: Emma and Abigail. I actually really, really like both of these names and would have used one of them if DH agreed (which he didn't).

This was a bit of a struggle because these names really aren't my style, popular or not.

Boys' Names:  Mason and Ethan.  Close third would be Alexander.  

This is my problem with boys' names - all of the ones I like have gotten too popular!  I have loved the name Mason since I was a kid when a character on a TV show was named Mason (like 1995?), freaks me out how popular it is now!

Girls' Names: Madison is the only one I really like.  I guess Mia is second.

Everyone I know for the last five years has had nothing but girl babies so I'm totally worn out on popular girl names.

I know three Sophias, an Isabella, two Emmas, one Olivia and a Chloe.  I've known a ton of Emily's my whole life - hasn't that name been popular for like 30 years now???

Boys names would be Mason Alexander & Ethan William.

Girls names would be Chloe Olivia & Madison Ava. Not thrilled with the middle names on either of the girls but oh well haha.

The girls list is harder...I just don't love any of them, but if I had to, I would pick Olivia and Abigail.

The only one I actually would consider is William. The rest I like, but don't love.

Girls names are more difficult to choose regardless if they are on this list or not.  I would have to say Emma and Abigail.

Noah and Ethan. I would have picked Aidan if it were spelled this way, not Aiden.

I met one person who said Team Jacob was winning because the name was so popular. My response, Team Edward just isn't pretentious enough to name their sons after a fictional character.
