are you superstitious??

Like if you were issued a phone number and the middle digits were 666, would you change it??  or do you feel extra lucky on the 7th of the month?

there is a client of mine who was issued a number with 666 in the middle for something....the person contacted someone and is insisting it get changed.

I told the person to write back to teh client and say "sorry, you are my 13th complaint for the day and I can't fix it."  (ok, I kid..I didn't say that, but seriously..who puts THAT much value in a number!!!)

Obviously, it doesn't bother me, but would it bother you?

Re: are you superstitious??

  • Yes.  If I found an apartment in NYC that I loved on the 13th floor, I wouldn't take it.  Luckily a lot of the buildings conveniently don't have one.  Silly, I know but that would wig me out.

  • i'm not *that* superstitious, but i wouldn't really be digging a phone number or anything with '666' in it. ?blech.

  • "I'm not superstitious.... but I am a little stitious."?

    ?Who knows it?!?

  • I'm not superstitious about most things, but triple 6 creeps me out (see, I don't even like to write/type it!). When I moved into my first apt after college, the phone number's first three digits were triple 6, and I told them I wanted a different one.

  • A little bit, I guess it depends on what it is. When we bought our house, the original closing date was on a Friday the 13th, my DH wanted that date change to the day before just because it is a large purchase. A little crazy, but the sellers didn't care.
