(how much is too much WCM?)
I already asked my pedi, who said no more than 24 oz. She said any more can cause anemia.
I've seen a couple other amts (lower) so I'm curious to know what your pedi told you and why.

Re: How much is too much WCM?
I'm curious about this too. And also about approximately how much she should be having - is there also a minimum?
We go to the pedi on Friday, so I'm not help just yet.
I haven't talked to our pediatrician about this, but have relied on KellyMom. In response to a thread below, my memory was a bit off. KellyMom recommends no more than 16-24 oz. of cow milk a day. https://kellymom.com/nutrition/milk/milk-supplements/
We do no more than 16 ounces of cow milk, in addition to nursing 3 times a day still. But LO is anemic a bit, so who knows.
16-24 oz dairy equivalents MAX. Dairy includes yogurt and cheese though and I think yogurt is more like 6oz = 8oz WCM and 1.5oz cheese = 8oz WCM. I think that's why doctors are more often recommending 12 oz since kids get so much fat through butter, cheese, etc.
I never understood the recommendations for "sippies" for how anyone can use that as an approximation. We have 5oz sippies and 10oz sippies...my kids would get hugely different quantities depending on how I measured. We give about 20-24 oz now total (she doesn't eat yogurt much since she doesn't like to be fed and doesn't like much cheese) but will drop that down as she gets closer to 2.
My pediatrician gave completely different advice. She said she should still be getting 24-32 oz of milk, same as if she were still on breastmilk or formula. I asked her several times because it conflicts with what I've read on here.
It's weird how different pedis give conflicting information. Of course, different doctors can interpret clinical literatures differently, but you'd think this would be a pretty basic guideline. I've got to go with my own pedi's recommendation over a advice I read on an online message board (no offense, of course!), but I find it a little disconcerting that her advice varies so much from what your pedis are telling you.
