My friend shaved her hair!!

I had coffee with a friend yesterday and as she walked up towards me, I noticed her hairline was really weird... she had shaved her hairline to be totally even! She had her hair pulled back in a tight bun so it was super obvious! I wonder why she did that! It was so crazy and I had to do everything in my power to not stare!

is it a new fad that i am unaware of?

  • I'm not up on the new fads, but that sounds weird to me. I hate it when you have to be super-focused on not staring, it's sooo distracting!

  • Whoa, that's odd! I've heard of guys having the "edge-up" but never girls. That would be so hard to deal with through the growing out stage...

When I saw this post I thought "Oooh one of Katie's friends pulled a Britney"...

    Weird.

  • You're more discreet than I would have been. I totally would have asked about it: "Hey --- did you get a new 'do?"
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

  • Oh I SO would have asked about that!  Weird!

and she's getting married in May! It looked freshly Bic'd so I am not sure she is PLANNING on growing it out! YIKES!

Yikes indeed! Maybe the stress is really getting to her or something...

  • Hmmm... maybe she's got a condition?  Or maybe she's a nervous hair twirler?

Very strange indeed.  I would have asked about it.

At some point in HS, I plucked at my widows peak because I got it in my head that it was too pointy.  But that was crazy teenage, bad self-image days.

  • It was a fad in the 1400s, but I wouldn't call that new :)
